Engaged with a large New Jersey law firm to train and coach their entire staff of attorneys, from associates to senior partners, on business development for professional services. Results: Increased new client/new matter prospect pipeline for the firm by over 30%, used coaching to help a partner secure a new client, which provided a ten-fold return on investment for firm’s engagement of Corporate Ladders. Rewrote strategic business plan, sales & marketing plan, identified direct and indirect sales distribution channels, and established field operations for an emerging hosted PBX and IP Centrex communications provider to the SMB marketplace. Results: Worked to secure initial funding, planned infrastructure, launched sales and marketing organization, and recruited vice president of sales. Redesigned and rebuilt an indirect sales channel program for a hosted PBX provider, developed all new marketing materials, refocused recruiting toward different agent/reseller partners. Results: Doubled monthly recurring revenues. Provided turnkey sales and marketing for an IP financial services business including sales planning, sales process development, brand identity, marketing plans, and strategic alliances. Identified flaw in original business plan and convinced founders to revise targeted market and sales strategy. Results: Launched business, secured first round funding, closed ten (10) significant contracts for services, recruited and hired vice president of sales. Designed and developed new small to medium business (SMB) product offerings for a national Internet service provider that included market requirement documents, product design, competitive analysis, and collateral materials. Also, designed and developed an indirect channel program including collateral materials, program elements, and compensation plans. Results: Successfully launched program and recruited fifty (50) new partner agents within 60 days of launch. Assisted in raising first round funding for emerging online public sector business, spearheaded business development, and worked with bankers to write private placement memorandum for public offering. Results: Secured $14 million of private investment capital to fund and launch business. Engaged with generic pharmaceutical client to mentor senior leadership team. During M&A identified “sleeper” product long dormant and spearheaded marketing to re-launch product. Worked to get new products on state formulary lists. Results: Helped oversee revenue growth from $30 million to $200 million in two years |
